Smoother Sailing

I think my life may be back on an even keel. I can't be sure but the past couple of days I have felt much brighter and lighter than I have done in the past month. Its been a month of apathy, feeling completely overwhelmed by absolutely everything. I felt deflated and flat. The storm has been weathered and the clouds are parting.

This past week has been busy, despite a lack of motivation to get out and about or do anything. I think ditching anything of a depressing nature. For example, the housework, the study (don't ask I'm sure it will be a blog post soon), but unfortunately not work has helped. The house unfortunately may does need a catastrophe site warning on the front door!

There was a clothes shopping spree, a dedicated Boo day (all about quality time together), beach trips, play dates, meals out, a huge fun day today, and I started a new project (more on that another day).

I will leave you with a couple of photos from last weeks highlight, and the theme from last Monday's kindy news (I love Photoshop Contact Sheets for arming Boo with her beloved news)!

Sculptures by the Sea at Cottesloe Beach

See you at your blog very soon :)

I'm glad you're feeling better.

It's SO hard to be depressed. And it's such a great relief when those clouds begin to part.

I was really down this time last year. I think back to how I felt back then and feel incredibly relieved that those days are in the past.

I'm sure bad times will come again for both of us...all of us. But it's nice to know that happiness usually does reappear.

The sun is shining here today after many days of cloud - and as in when the weather affects us, it is also a very useful metaphor.

Glad you are getting a few rays of sunshine back!

Glad you're back on track. I have been feeling a bti like that lately too - like everything seems so much effort to acheive. I must get around to posting my Sculptures pics - they were great weren't they?

Aw sweetie.. I didn't realise that you were feeing so awful. I feel bad that I was so stuck in my own gunk.

But the cloud is lifting for both of us! Hip Hip Hooray!

I LOVE the photos. And I love your self-prescribed therapy for lifting the gloom!

Dina - Thanks! It's just working out how to get back to that state of happiness?!?

Jen - Chins up now! Darn slumps...

Jeanie - I'm glad your sunny weather has returned (and its not a metaphor)

Guera - I did think you sounded a bit flat the other day. I hope your clouds part soon too.

Looking forward to seeing your sculpture photos :)

Rhubarb - Sorry to imbibe feelings of homesickness! Cottesloe is gorgeous though

Fe - I am so glad you are feeling much better. And you are definately allowed to be stuck in your own gunk, and to prioritise yourself at times like that :)

Hooray! I'm glad your feeling better (and me too)! Keep smiling :)

hi Lani (hugs) I am glad you are feeling brighter. It's been a little like that here too.

I am sorry you have struggled, it must be hard being a single parent too to keep it all together for Boo too.

I wish you more sunshine and of course the housework can always wait.

One day at a time Lani, one moment if that is too much.

The photos are amazing.

Thanks for always being there for me.
