Teething

Boo is finally getting her 2 year old molars. Thankfully the teething business itself has never bothered her, though I can guarantee that as soon as you spot the teeth a cold, plus or minus an ear infection comes to visit! After spotting the teeth on Thursday, the running nose has followed as predicted.

After a late night at my nephew's birthday dinner coupled with a cold. Boo woke up and proclaimed she was not going to her dad's again this fortnight. Yesterday she was quite happy to go when she spoke to him on the phone. I took her over there for an hour anyway, and thought she might be happy to stay as I'd painted a boring day of housework ahead at our house. No she was coming grocery shopping and doing housework with me. Oh well, I tried and made the effort of taking her there for a visit...

With the cold and the late night, I knew Boo was tired but she refused to have a lie down, and followed me around and helped with the housework. Suprisingly with no whinging which is unusual when she's tired but I had given lots of warnings of what would happen if she whinged today!!!

As I made her bed she played her usual game of hiding under the doona, and me pretending not to know what the lump in the bed was. I then vacuumed her room and a couple of other rooms expecting her to reappear any moment.

Apparently she fell asleep while she was waiting for me to find her!

That is very cute.
I hope the teeth don't give her (and you) too much trouble.

Tiff - she is sweet mostly

Alison - one tooth up, the next one poking through, nose running stopped and no complaints. Too easy!!!

Iris - it was cute

Jeanie - She woke up about 3 hours later, and called out "Mum are you finding me yet?"

Awwww, that is sweet.

I used to say to Celtic Lad, 'sleep time' and walk to his room, expecting him to follow. Many a time, I would turn around and return to the lounge and find him ASLEEP on the FLOOR or wherever he was when I said 'sleep time.'
